just wondering... does anyone know? someone said it to me on the way to work today... as i passed him on the street he said, "have fun spending life in prison..."
ya... i dont get it.

I think it was someone predicting your future (he could tell that you are closet felon).
Or maybe it was an alien who is only temporarily inhabiting an earthly body and to him it feels like a prison. He is going back to his space ship soon and wanted to wish you a happy life inside your prison.
Or, more likely, he was on his way to the Australian outback for a walkabout and knew that, after being outside so long, a room in a house might feel kind of prison-like. His assumption, then, was that for the rest of your life, you will occasionally visit a room.

I think it was someone with schizophrenia thinking you were after him and he was letting you know your sentence because of course you're trying to kill him or something.
